White Castle is one of the most creative restaurant chains in America. They are constantly coming up with unique sandwiches and sides, like their Shrimp Nibblers and Ranch Chicken Rings, which really sets them apart from the fast food crowd.
This week, White Castle is rolling out a line of Belgian Waffle Sandwiches. While the breakfast varieties, which consists of either a Bacon, Egg & Cheese or Sausage, Egg & Cheese Waffle Sandwich, are not the most distinctive items, the Chicken & Waffle Sandwich, served all day, is like something we've never seen at a major fast food joint. For this new slider, White Castle is topping their savory fried chicken breast cutlet with creamy white gravy and bacon crumbles, all between two warm Belgian waffles. These fluffy waffles are imported from Belgium and are soft, rich and slightly sweet. The breakfast flavor of the waffles is complimented nicely by the creaminess of the gravy, the smokiness of the bacon and the savory, peppery fried chicken.
Don't be fooled by the small slider size, this sandwich is hefty and will set you back 490 calories. But, it's GOOD! Try it with some onion rings and a Strawberry Fanta for a filling and comforting meal.
