It's warming up outside so throw on some sneakers and hit the streets for a NYC Checkers lunch field trip!
We visited the new Checkers on 1st Avenue between 13th and 14th Street in Manhattan and discovered an exclusive menu item not available on Checkers website, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. This sandwich is smaller and more simple than the Big Chicken Sandwich found at other Checkers. It's prepared with a crispy fried chicken breast fillet, mayo and pickles on a sesame seed bun. The sandwich was piping hot and fresh and tasted super yummy! We love the classic simplicity of this Checkers item.
We also had Checkers Bacon Roadhouse Burger, available nationwide, which consists of 2 seasoned beef patties, fried onion "tanglers," American cheese, BBQ sauce, mayo and crispy bacon on grilled Texas toast. This burger was equally as sinful and finger-licking delicious.
We recommend you grab a friend and share both sandwiches -- and don't forget the seasoned fries!
