Bottoms Up Pizza: Pizza Party

Located in the historic Shockoe Bottom area of Richmond Virginia, Bottoms Up Pizza has been winning the distinction of best pizza in Richmond year after year. The establishment is not only famous for their 12-hour crust, but for their unique location right below the train tracks where freight trains constantly rumble overhead, shaking the entire restaurant.

We began our meal with a hot platter of chicken wings smothered in Bottoms Up own sweet and spicy wing sauce and served with chunky bleu cheese dressing. The "Bottoms Up Loaded" pizza came out next: zesty pepperoni, Italian sausage, savory ground beef, ham, onions, green peppers, olives and mushrooms over their signature thick, crisp crust and tangy, sweet marinara sauce -- seriously scrumptious! We ended the evening with "Brownie Delight:" rich homemade Coca-Cola brownies with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Indeed the best pizza we've had in Richmond. Can't wait to go back and try even more options!
