Domino's NEW Specialty Chicken: Chicken Pizza Crust

With competing fast food giants constantly looking for creative ways to redefine classic American foods, it's no wonder that Domino's is rolling out a new line of chicken products inspired by popular pizza flavor combinations. Domino's Specialty Chicken comes in 4 exciting varieties, each one made with a "crust" of breaded all white meat chicken chunks smothered with bold toppings.

We tried the Spicy Jalapeño-Pineapple, which is topped with a sweet and spicy pineapple-habanero sauce, pineapple pieces, jalapeños and a mozzarella, cheddar cheese blend (our location also threw on some bell pepper strips). We also sampled the Sweet BBQ Bacon, which came dressed with sweet and smoky BBQ sauce, crispy bacon pieces and mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

Both varieties were made fresh to order and tasted hearty and scrumptious. The Spicy Jalapeño-Pineapple was sweet with a real kick of heat from the habanero sauce. The fruity pineapple complemented the crispy chicken and zesty jalapeños. The more classically inspired Sweet BBQ Bacon tasted how one would expect it to with the smoky bacon and sweet BBQ sauce really rounding out the taste of the cheese covered chicken chunks. We found both options to be great as either part of a meal or as a shareable snack. Overall, Domino's Specialty Chicken varieties are new takes on already classic flavor combinations and are not very creative. In a way, they're just sandwiches made with chunks of chicken instead of a whole breast piece, and without the bread. That being said, they're good -- really good!

Domino's Specialty Chicken also comes in Classic Hot Buffalo and Crispy Bacon and Tomato.
