Dr. Negroni Recipe: A Cherry-Vanilla Highball from the Snaxtime Lab
A little sweet, a little bitter, and a little unexpected. Dr. Negroni mixes vanilla vodka, Campari, and Dr Pepper into a fizzy highball with a splash of grenadine and a cherry on top. Straight out of the Snaxtime lab.
It’s our mad-doctor spin on cocktail hour. Campari brings the bitter edge, while vanilla and Dr Pepper give it a familiar soda-fountain flavor. Grab a highball glass. This experiment takes three minutes.
Dr. Negroni
A bittersweet, cherry-vanilla highball.
Makes: 1 cocktail
Prep time: 3 minutes
Glass: Highball
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Stoli Vanil vodka
- ¾ oz Campari
- ¼ oz grenadine
- 3 oz regular Dr Pepper
- 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Ice
Method
- Fill a highball glass with ice.
- Add the vodka, Campari, and grenadine.
- Stir briefly, then top with Dr Pepper.
- Stir gently and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Notes from the Lab
Keep it cold. Chill the Dr Pepper before mixing so the drink stays fizzy and refreshing.
Measure the grenadine. A little adds sweetness. A heavy pour can take over the drink.
Go easy on the stirring. Once the soda goes in, a gentle stir is all it needs.
Complete the experiment. Serve with cheesy tots, a big bowl of popcorn, and a movie marathon. Lab coat optional.
