Dunkin' Donuts Croissant Donut: Fashionably Late

Dunkin' Donuts is late to the party with their recent release of the Croissant Donut. Ever since the Cronut changed the donut landscape, donut makers have been scrambling to capitalize off the donut/croissant hybrid sensation. Dunkin's Croissant Donut is no Cronut, however. There is no imaginative flavor profile, pastry cream filling or icing and the donut overall is noticeably made from lesser quality ingredients. The simple Croissant Donut is, however, pretty darn tasty and certainly better than Dunkin' Donuts' other varieties.

The new confection is dense, flaky and rich like a croissant with a nice classic glazed yeast donut flavor. We say definitely give it a try if you happen to be at Dunkin', but don't go out of your way.
