How do you make Kellogg's Frosted Flakes even better? Add marshmallows! In a stroke of genius, Kellogg's has updated their iconic breakfast cereal by adding miniature marshmallows, and we couldn't be more excited.
We found a box while perusing the cereal aisle and did a double take. Upon trying some later that day, however, we were left a little underwhelmed. Frosted Flakes is one of our all time favorite breakfast cereals, but this new version is not nearly as toothsome as we remember. The flakes are still crispy with a delicious corn flavor, but the sweetness seems to be dialed way back, even with the addition of marshmallows.
If you are apprehensive about serving this to your kids, don't fret. Kellogg's has done the work to make their current products more in line with upcoming, health conscious generations. While not as sugary as we would like, this new product is still fun with an instantly classic box design featuring the legendary Tony the Tiger. We say go ahead and give it a try, but old school fans should have their sugar bowl within reach.
