McDonald's latest Signature Crafted Recipe is the Bacon Smokehouse, and we tried it out just for you!
We ordered the Bacon Smokehouse Burger. The 1/4 lb of sizzling fresh beef came dressed with smooth white cheddar cheese, crispy Applewood smoked bacon, smoky bacon-onion sauce, sweet mustard sauce and in-house fried onion strings, all nestled in a chewy artisan roll. The flavors and textures in the Bacon Smokehouse Burger were successfully combined to create a fulfilling sandwich that was savory, buttery, smoky and sweet. We especially enjoyed the fried onion strings and creamy cheddar and the addition of two different sauces really highlighted the fresh beef patty. The bun was also very satisfying with a sweet, eggy butter taste that complimented the other ingredients perfectly.
While this new sandwich is super tasty and you certainly won't regret ordering it, for us it was not as crave-able as McDonald's signature Quarter Pounder with cheese. The Bacon Smokehouse Recipe is also available as a double, with Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or with Artisan Grilled Chicken.
