Nabisco has released an exciting NEW limited edition line of tantalizing cookies, Red Velvet Oreo! The Red Velvet Oreo cookies themselves have a milder cocoa flavor than the original chocolate Oreo cookies, just like red velvet cake has a subtle hint of cocoa that differs from chocolate cake. We would have liked these new cookies, however, to be a bit more red in color.
The true star of these sweet snacks is the cream cheese flavored creme filling! The new filling has Oreo's signature white vanilla creme flavor and texture, but there is a sinfully delicious tangy cream cheese flavor added that really helps give the illusion of eating red velvet cake with cream cheese icing.
