Serious deliciousness at table 13!
S'Mac (Sarita's Macaroni and Cheese) on 12th Street in the East Village has been offering a wide variety of luscious mac-n-cheese combinations, as well as a "Build-Your-Own" option, since 2006. We tried the "Parisienne" with rich brie, roasted figs and shiitake mushrooms and fresh rosemary topped with breadcrumbs-- super flavorful. We also had the "Buffalo Chicken," cheddar and American cheese with chicken and Buffalo wing sauce topped with buttery breadcrumbs and bleu cheese -- tastes just like hot wings! On the side: a mixed green salad with white wine vinaigrette to help digest the creamy, cheesy noodles.
