We are taking a bite (sip) out of America's best snack foods!
Southern Comfort was created in 1874 by Martin Wilkes Heron, a bartender at McCauley's Tavern in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. This distinctly American liqueur has strong notes of bourbon, fruit, spice and honey and is the inspiration behind many popular cocktails like the Alabama Slammer. Great in cocktails, over ice or straight up, Southern Comfort is sweet and a little creamy with a smooth whiskey tang. Try it in some eggnog for a toothsome Christmas treat!
This Christmas, stock up on Southern Comfort. It's the perfect "snack" for the Holidays!
FACTOID! In 2010, Southern Comfort was rebranded and the iconic plantation on its label was removed. |
