Ultimate Peanut Butter Pie
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese at room temperature
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (11.75 oz) jar hot fudge topping
1 prepared shortbread pie crust
Chocolate chips (optional)
With an electric hand mixer, cream together cream cheese, peanut butter and sugar until well combined.
Mix in 3/4 of the whipped topping until combined and smooth.
Scrape mixture into pie crust with rubber spatula and smooth evenly to edges of crust.
Microwave hot fudge topping according to directions. Carefully top peanut butter mixture with desired amount of fudge and smooth to edges of crust creating a second layer. Reserve some fudge for decorating.
Place pie in freezer for 20 mins. Remove pie and carefully top with remaining whipped topping, creating a third layer.
Place remaining fudge in a plastic sandwich bag and snip the corner of the bag with scissors. Squeeze fudge over top layer to decorate. Top with chocolate chips.
Store pie in freezer then thaw in refrigerator for one hour before serving.
